A Charity Drive & Corporate Social Responsibility campaign organized by RC Planet Sdn Bhd. This campaign is held in conjunction with the effort by Malaysian Government to develop the skills and knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) using Robotics amongst the younger generations. The theme "Bringing Fun & Creative Education to Every Child" is to provide an opportunity to the under-privileged children a chance to experience, gain and enjoy the fun, knowledge, skill and understanding of educational robotics.
The campaign was supported and endorsed by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. The launching ceremony was officiated by the Y.B. Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, the Deputy Minister for Women, Family and Community Development on the 19th December 2009 at IKANO Power Centre, Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
To kick-start this campaign, RC Planet has sponsored 10 under-privileged children from Rumah Aman, Shah Alam for the educational robotics lessons. On top of that, RC Planet has pledged to sponsor one under-privileged child for every paying child enrolled during the campaign period.
Several caring organisations namely LBS Bina Group Bhd, ETI Tech (M) Sdn Bhd, Honey Bakery (M) Sdn Bhd and Tech-Store Sdn Bhd have also contributed by sponsoring under-privileged children to learn educational robotics under this campaign.

What is?
- A Charity & Corporate Social Responsibility program organized by RC Planet.
- Building the foundations of a compassionate society by giving equal opportunity to under-privileged children.
- Giving opportunity to under-privileged children the chance to experience, gain and enjoy the fun, knowledge, skill, understanding and know-how of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education using Educational Robotics.
Campaign Objective
- To create awareness on Social Responsibility to the public.
- To enable under-privileged children to learn more about various aspects of robotics free-of-charge.
- To promote educational robotics and make learning fun as children learn and retain knowledge best when activity engaged is something they enjoy.
- To inspires children to be creative, innovative, and to find solutions to challenges through robot building workshops and competitions.
- Through the process of robot building, children imaginations are captured as they assemble, modify, program and compete with their own robotic creations; and through this hands-on effort, students gain practical knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education beyond the traditional classroom setting.
- To make this a regular event.
- Target to sponsor 100 under-privileged children.
Concept
- Campaign started from 1st December 2009 until 21st March 2010.
- Campaign is endorsed and supported by the Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development.
- Launching event was officiated by Y.B. Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development on 19th December 2009 at IKANO Power Centre, PJ.
- RC Planet's Role:
- RC Planet has sponsored 10 under-privileged children from Rumah Aman Shah Alam to kick-start the campaign.
- RC Planet will also sponsor 1 under-privileged child for every paying child that enrolled during the campaign period.
- RC Planet will source for interested corporate sponsors to support the campaign by sponsoring children from various orphanages.
- RC Planet will provide the educational robotics training and workshops to the sponsored children.

Sponsorship
- Public can support this campaign by enrolling their children for our robotics program* and RC Planet will sponsor 1 under-privileged child** for every paying child that enrolled during the campaign period.
- Corporations can support this campaign by sponsoring under-privileged children to enroll in our robotics program***. The value of the sponsorship is in multiple of 5 under-privileged children at RM7,000.
- Benefits to Corporate Sponsor:
- "CSR" recoginition.
- Company name and logo will be listed on all printed media and RC Planet's website.
- Company will receive Certificate of Appreciation.
* Our standard course fee starts from RM350 for 26 learning hours. ** RC Planet will sponsor course fee worth RM350. *** Standard training program consists of 26 learning hours and 1 educational robot kit.
